the kagi guy’s stance on queer people and tech is bad, but if you want to know how he sees the world you can take a look at his website where he found a way to say that the whitest countries are the “greatest.”

greatcountry.orgGreatCountry.orgHave you ever wondered what is the greatest country in the world? We attempt to answer this question.

if you haven't been following the kagi mess, the ceo was asked to reconsider their partnership with one of the biggest homophobes in tech and his response is basically that inclusivity is why there is no innovation in tech anymore. i think he wants to get acquired by 37signals.

the ceo is also the moderator of their forums and discord. his personal rules of moderation is to allow homophobia but remove any comments by queer people

@zicklepop Such gross behavior on his part. Thanks for working to expose bigotry, please take care of yourself!

@zicklepop heh, I saw it disappear while I was reading it.

"I left everything up"

@zicklepop@nyan.lol who is this the CEO of, sorry I'm out of the loop

@zicklepop HE STILL DOESN'T REALISE THE FUCKING PROBLEM, ZUSSY CHRIST!

@thegarbagebird it’s CEO brain rot: never change your perspective and never back down

@zicklepop and whatever you do, NEVER LEARN ANYTHING. even if absolutely everyone disagrees with you, it is statistically impossible for you to be wrong. you are a CEO, after all.

@zicklepop Cancelled my subscription today.

@sinky you can ask support@kagi.com for a refund too :)

@zicklepop I’ll be doing that 😊. Got about 8/9 months left on it as i paid for the year.

@zicklepop

cocaine use
olympic medals per capita

??? :blobcattilt:
Did the numbers not look how he wanted so he just added random stuff?

@zicklepop Prima facie awful for so many reasons but for some reason the egotism of “I put cocaine use, Olympic medals, happy planet-ness, and 13 other random things into a spreadsheet this afternoon, and the result is a more comprehensive look into society than has ever been attempted before” is what steals the show for me.
